The 45-year old American actor, film producer and screenwriter Matt Damon raked his earnings of $55 million for 2016. He played the main character, an astronaut named Mark Watney, in Ridley Scott's The Martian released in 2015, based on Andy Weir's best-selling novel of the same name, a role that earned him the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and his second Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Even though Jeremy Renner played main charactor in Jason Bourne movie in the 4th sequel “The Bourne Legacy”, Matt Damon secured his role as Mark Watney again when he decided to come back with the Bourne franchise in “Jason Bourne” released July 29th, 2016, reuniting with Paul Greengrass. Matt Damon also signed to star in Alexander Payne's upcoming film Downsizing and Zhang Yimou's The Great Wall.
