Taylor Swift's song "Back To December" - a tribute to her romance with Taylor Lautner

“Back to December” is another track in Taylor Swift’s album “Speak Now” which was released on Oct 25th, 2010. It was written about Taylor Swift’s relationship with Taylor Lautner. Her brief romance, from August 2009 till December 2009, inspired her to write “Back to Deccember”, on the track, Swift reminisced about a December night when Lautner gave her roses and she left them to die:

"You gave me roses and I left them there to die"

Her regret and her wishes that she could have turned back time to correct the relationship which could have turned out to be a beautiful one:

"So this is me swallowing my pride

Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that night

And I go back to December all the time.

It turns out freedom ain’t nothing but missing you

Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine

I go back to December turn around and make it all right"
