Starting out with a hearty breakfast, this world-renown champion shares his daily breakfast routine:

So what does Katie Ledecky normally eat to power her energy to champion her opponents? Ms Ledecky simply said she’d eat whatever her mom cooks for her. For her breakfasts, Ledecky prefers a healthy, energizing diet choice. She breaks her breakfast into small meals. Her first meal starts as early as 4:30am, with peanut butter spread on 2 slices of wholegrain bread, along with an apple or a banana. Her second breakfast right after her morning practice is a bit more substantial with an omelet or a bagel, and an egg sandwich along with a full glass of chocolate milk.

Tatyana McFadden was born in Russia on April 21st, 1989 with spina bifida, a congenital disorder that paralyzed her from the waist down. She spent the first six years of her life in a Russian orphanage with virtually nothing, not even a wheelchair. In 1994 she was adopted by Deborah McFadden, the former Commissioner of Disabilities for the U.S. Department of Health and moved to US. Tatyana McFadden tried different sports to build her strength. She immediately fell in love with wheelchair racing. McFadden has won 10 Paralympic medals in multiple Summer Paralympic Games. On Sept 28th, 2016, she was honored by the United States Olympic Committee as Female Athlete of the Paralympic Games.

Tatyana McFadden breaks her breakfast into 2 parts. First part of her breakfast is early in the morning before her workout; she goes light on her stomach, just hydrate herself with water and eating yogurt to wake her body up, getting her mind into the workout.

After her grueling morning workout, she likes a hearty breakfast to recover her energy back. Her breakfast includes pancakes or crepes or waffles with strips of bacon, 2 hard-boiled eggs, smoothies or fresh fruits with more yogurts.

Unlike most of her fellow Olympians, Simone Biles likes her breakfast simple, light and quick, just enough to fuel up her body for her practice routine in the morning. Kellogg’s Red Berries or egg whites are her daily morning breakfast.

Brad Snyder was on born February 29th 1984. Snyder didn’t set out to be an Olympian. He was a lieutenant in the Navy, and served in Afghanistan as an explosive ordnance disposal officer. On Sept 7th, 2011 Brad Snyder lost both of his eyes after stepping on an improvised explosive device in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He rose from the darkness and has won 2 Gold medals and 1 Silver at 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, 3 Gold medals and 1 silver at 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio. US Olympic Champion Brad Snyder is also the current world record holder for the 100-meter freestyle events.
