Halloween Costume: Princess Leia Organa from the “Star Wars” Franchise

Halloween Costume, Princess Leia in Star Wars

Many favorite Halloween costumes have been derived from the Star Wars movies. Princess Leia is one of the popular Halloween costume for adults as well as kids.

In "Star Wars" series, Princess Leia was the one of the rebel alliance’s greatest leaders to Restore the Republic, a former member of the Imperial Senate, and a member of the Royal Family of Alderaan. It was common knowledge throughout the court that Leia was adopted into the Royal Family. What wasn't common knowledge was that Leia was born to Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi pupil who succumbed to the dark side and became Darth Vader. She was one of a set of twins, born in secrecy and protected from Vader and the Emperor. The Jedi hero and general, Obi-Wan Kenobi, saw to it that Leia was secretly transported to the planet Alderaan, where she was to be raised by Kenobi's friend Bail Organa. The boy, Luke, was taken to the distant world of Tatooine. Leia has few memories of her true mother, Padmé Amidala. All that Leia can recall was that she was beautiful, but sad.

Leia was a driven, dedicated individual. She has a forceful, abrasive personality. She was professional in all aspects, but occasionally relaxed her guard to let her strong compassion and quirky sense of humor show.

Leia was played by Carrie Frances Fisher in the original Star Wars trilogy (1977–83) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). She was a petite, fair-skinned human female with brown eyes, and long brown hair that she often wears in an elaborate fashion.

Halloween costume: Hiccup and Toothless from “How to Train Your Dragon”

Halloween Costume - Hiccup and Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon

The duo Hiccup and Toothless characters in "How to Train Your Dragon" series is a tough Halloween costume to create. In this picture, Hiccup was in his flight suit he designed to use when flying with Toothless in battles. That didn’t stop a family from creating this amazing mobile set using the boy’s wheelchair as Toothless. Kudos to their creativity and love!

Hiccup and Toothless are the main characters in an animated action fantasy film “How to Train Your Dragon” which was released in 2010, produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The story was based on the British book series of the same name by Cressida Cowell. The film was directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, who also directed Disney's Lilo & Stitch. The film's success has also inspired other merchandise, including a video game and a TV series.

Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) was a Norse teenager from the island of Berk, where fighting dragons was a way of life. His progressive views and weird sense of humor make him a misfit, despite the fact that his father (voiced by Gerard Butler) is chief of the clan. Tossed into dragon-fighting school, he endeavored to prove himself as a true Viking, but when he befriended an injured dragon he named Toothless, he had the chance to plot a new course for his people's future.
